I believe there is no point arguing about Christianity based on opinions. Read the word for yourself and you will understand, his Grace was given to us to enable us to obey him. If there is no evidence of obedience, then your Salvation is not genuine. If anyone tells you not to look to your own obedience (not as a means, but as a prove to Salvation), then this preacher is heartless; blinding people who might risk to doom for eternal judgement, having failed to warn fellow Christians about their spiritual condition. The bible is very simple and straightforward, there is no need to go into Gematria and meditate every Hebrew Letter (like the Kabbalah, placing a ה instead of a Cross in a church). While Paul's doctrine focus mostly on Justification by Faith (the foundation), Apostle James and John explains it very clearly below, the importance of Works. No, not works of the Law that brings curse. It's works of the Law that proves your faith.
I John 2:3-11 NKJV
Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. Brethren, I write no new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you have had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you heard from the beginning. Again, a new commandment I write to you, which thing is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shining. I John 5:1-5 NKJV
Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
James 2:14-26 NKJV
What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
