And He said, “Go, and tell this people: ‘Keep on hearing, but do not understand; Keep on seeing, but do not perceive.’ “Make the heart of this people dull, And their ears heavy, And shut their eyes; Lest they see with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their heart, And return and be healed.”
Isaiah 6:9-10 NKJV
Who is blind but My servant, Or deaf as My messenger whom I send? Who is blind as he who is perfect, And blind as the Lord ’s servant?
Isaiah 42:19 NKJV
Isaiah is an example of a man of unclean lips, birthed out of a nation of deaf and blind, and he was willing to be obedient to God's Call.
So I said: “Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The Lord of hosts.” Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth with it, and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; Your iniquity is taken away, And your sin purged.” Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”
Isaiah 6:5-8 NKJV
Just as Isaiah was called to be a messenger (Servant of God) to Israel, Israel was called to be the messenger (Servant of God) to the World. But Israel could not hear nor see, nor could they do what God told them to do.
It is the same for us today.
Seeing many things, but you do not observe; Opening the ears, but he does not hear.” The Lord is well pleased for His righteousness’ sake; He will exalt the law and make it honorable.
Isaiah 42:20-21 NKJV
the great trials which your eyes have seen, the signs, and those great wonders. Yet the Lord has not given you a heart to perceive and eyes to see and ears to hear, to this very day.
Deuteronomy 29:3-4 NKJV
Are you seeing and hearing his prophecies that are written down in the word?
